[...] The very first big thing I did that really pushed my comfort level on the abundance mentality was the blog carnival from last year. I loved it - it was a great question, the responses where incredible, and instead of making it a flash-in-the-pan thing I extended it over five days, really highlighting the participants, sharing link love, introducing one to another, etc. I know that many of my participants (and readers) learned of other bloggers during that time and many developed their own relationships. I was very pleased to have been a part of all that relationship building. Here is day 1, day 2, day 3, day 4 and day 5. If you do something like this, my only advice is to go over the top.
[...] Yesterday, I was surfing around and looking at some of the blogs that I frequent (in between trying to be productive on a couple of consulting assignments, webmastering my sites, and running my recruiting company) and I happened to catch an article on Jason Alba’s blog highlighting one of the participant’s in the blog carnival, Janet Meiner. Janet has her own blog and is an accomplished Internet marketer. She just happened to lose her job the day after writing her entry about what to do if you lose her job… talk about serendipity… whoa!. [You really should check out Janet’s bio, she may just be what you are looking for and she happens to be available but probably only for a short time.] [...]

Thanks for spotlighting me Jason! Most of the companies I worked for are gone now (dot coms). So yes, I've had plenty of practice finding jobs. After working in technical recruiting for a while at Novell I found that I enjoy the process. I understood it better.
Best
