This is it--the epiphany of frustration that reminds most job-seekers they HAVE to treat the job search like a project at work--what would happen if you started a project at work and didn't use multiple tools, deadlines and timelines to manage it? It would fail! I love JibberJobber because there is no excuse for not having a productive and fruitful job search (along with the right execution mind you).

Jason,
What a beautiful post! I'm glad you took time to chronicle your story for us. If a journalist wants to interview you, have them read this first. It's a great backgrounder.

Yes, corporate life is comfortable compared to doing your own thing. I've learned that this year too. Sometimes I wonder how to have a social life or family time when you're doing your own thing. It's hard to quit and no one can fire you!

I recommend ythe movie, "The Pursuit of Happyness". I think the man sitting next to me was almost sobbing (so was I!). It captures the emotion of being the breadwinner, of working very hard for something, and ultimately of triumph and love. Just like this post. It's been great being your friend and seeing some of your successes. You have so much passion for what you do.

Happy Holidays!

Best,
Janet
