		<description>I agree that you must be a valuable member of someone&#039;s network, not just an email address on a mailing list.  Being persistent is the right thing to do, but I also know that some people are just not going to respond for whatever reason (ego is one example).  If you&#039;ve tried emailing and calling and you still can&#039;t get a face to face meeting, that&#039;s when you really have to try something wild, like sending the person his or her favorite food!  :)</description>

How many lotery winners are broke in a very short time?  ;-)  I also think that if you build your network large enough, then you will have a better chance of getting positive responces right out of the gate.</description>
