March 26th, 2012Action Item: is a documented event, task, activity, or action that needs to take place. Action items are discrete units that can be handled by a single person.
Browser: a program used to view HTML documents.
CRM: [customer relationship management] – Acronym used to describe software systems that a salesperson would use to keep track of all of their sales leads. Many salespeople deal with hundreds or even thousands of prospects, and there is no way they could make sure that they don’t forget to call a hot lead, or a meduim lead, without having a CRM management tool. JibberJobber is your personal CRM for your job hunting and your professional networking!
Csv File: [Comma-Separated-Value] is a common file type used to import data from one software application to another, with commas separating the values.
Event: Include actions such as “apply for a new posting”, “send resume”, “go to first interview”, “send thank you letter”, etc.
Feeds: is a data format used for providing users with frequently updated content.
Http: [hypertext transfer protocol: a protocol] (utilizing TCP) to transfer hypertext requests and information between servers and browsers
JJ: JibberJobber
List panel: is a panel that can display a group of items and provides support for selecting items and performing actions on them
Log: a written record of events.
MSN: [Microsoft Network] is a collection of Internet services provided by Microsoft.
Network Contacts: are all the contacts you have on your JibberJobber, below the menu Network.
Process: A collection of Events. When you apply for a new Job Posting, you create a process. All events that apply to this Process can be associated.
Process Category: Gives you the ability to group Processes together. You may want to group them by job types, or industries. For example, you can have a Process Category for all Project Manager related jobs, or a Process Category for all Health Care postings.

Quick Connect: Is a feature to find contacts easily, Quick connect will give you the ability to have updated information about contacts.
Recruiter: is someone engaging in recruitment, which is the solicitation of individuals to fill jobs or positions within any group.
TSV file: [Tab Separated Values] is a very simple textual data format which allows tabular data to be exhanged between applications that use different internal data formats.
URL: [Uniform Resource Locator] is the address of a web page on the world wide web.
Vcard: A vCard is an electronic business (or personal) card and also the name of an industry specification for the kind of communication exchange that is done on business or personal cards. vCard was developed by a consortium founded by Apple, AT&T, IBM, and Siemens.
