JibberJobber gives a way to track your personal networking contacts and keep a log of how they helped you, as well as connect with them on LinkedIn. You can manage and share your contacts. Handling all contact data is easy with filter options and reports; JibberJobber includes Outlook synchronization, personal contacts and different categories for your contacts. To track your contacts you can associate log entries and action items to them. Action items help you to track and complete your activities by a given date.

This is an important feature because it allows you to manage and track important relationships over the time.

Add, Modify, Delete, View, Rank Your Contacts

JibberJobber gives you the ability to create a contact. Once you have your contact in the list panel, you can attach a photograph and rank your contact. You also can edit and delete the contact. To see the detail page, you just have to click on see option. On the detail page you can:

Create that contact as user.
Search him on Google.
Search on LinkedIn.
Download VCard.
Share this contact to someone else.
Add log entries and action items

Quick Connect – To Find Contacts Easily

Quick connect will give you the ability to have updated information about contacts.

You can access this feature on the network drop-down menu.

And for your convinience you can also find "Import" options on your Network List Panel and Company List Panel

Importing Contacts

JibberJobber offers you a premium feature. You can import networking contacts and there are some importing options:

Gmail contacts feature.
Twitter contacts.
CSV contacts.
vCards.
You can get your contacts exported from LinkedIn.

To Import Contacts From a CSV File

You can import address books from Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo and other services into your JibberJobber.

Importing contacts lets you:

Find friends, family and recruiters
Quick and easy way to work with your list.

Importing contacts is very easy, it does take few steps.

1. You’ll need a contact list as a CSV file

2. Go to Network

3. Click on Import/Export

4. Select Import Contacts.

5. Click on browse and locate your CSV file.

6. Determine if the file has header, if it has then click on has header check box.

7. Click on Upload File, this screen will be displayed

8. Choose the date format (e.g. Day/Month/Year, Month/Day/Year)

9. You now can choose:

Specific contact info you want to import
If you want to invite your contacts to JibberJobber
The category of your contacts, note that in the header there is a radio button, if you want a column as category, just mark that radio button.
Assign the fields in the drop down
Choose a company if the company is not available in the drop down, you can create it there.Just click the “create new company” in the check box and write the name of the company.

10. Finally click on “Import Contacts” button.

To Import Contacts From LinkedIn

Follow next steps:

1. Sign into LinkedIn

2. Click on contacts.

3. Click on export connections

4. Export to .csv file.

After this step go to the section "Import contacts"

Tree View

The Tree View is simple - it looks like the Windows Explorer but with the tree hierarchy of YOUR network.

A few things to point out:

You can get a printable view of this, to carry around with you,
The numbers represent the Degrees of Separation - so now all of those “referred by’s” that you put in can be seen in a graphical format,
Each of these names is a link, which takes you to their detail page.

Relationship Diagram

This is like a pedigree chart, or a genealogy chart, which allows you to see the relationships in boxes (again, based on the Degrees of Separation, or who referred them to you).

Get Contact List

This is a premium feature that allows you to get your contacts in a variety of formats, including .csv, .html, vcard, etc., you can use the feature based on a number of things like tags or categories.

You can choose what information will show when you pull up your contacts

Networking is one of the most effective methods for finding a job. You can start creating your network of contacts.

Managing Categories

Categories are one of the ways you can organize your network, companies, jobs, library and items on the interview preparation. You can add edit and delete the categories and assign them to the items.

Tags

You can add a tag to a contact.
You can remove the tag but it's not possible to edit them.
The tag is automatically deleted when you disassociate that tag to all the contacts
When atag is not being used by any contact, it is deleted automatically.
You can assign a single tag to multiple contacts.

Add Fields on Contact Form

You can create new fields on the add a new contact form by using the Service field. The process is easy.

You need first to create the extra fields and then import your file. For adding the extra fields follow the next steps:

1. Go to Add a Contact. (http://www.jibberjobber.com/network.php?action=add)

2. On this screen go to the section "Service 1" (below the Notes field) and on the drop down choose the option Other and you'll see a pop up asking you the name of your extra field, add the name you need.

3. Now you'll see on the drop down of Service 1 the name of your extra field. You can add as many as you need.

4. Now go to import contacts (http://www.jibberjobber.com/import_export.php) select the file to import and choose the option of Advance Import and you can assign the info of your columns to these extra fields.
